Yesterday I went to Sydney for the day. I didn’t venture from Circular Quay and around Opera House (I had things to do in that area). I took some photos to share though.
Sydney Harbour is beautiful. No matter how many times I have seen it (and it has been a lot), I am still amazed by how pretty it is. I also love the ferries – Circular Quay is obviously a great place to sit and watch them. And of course, who could forget the Sydney Harbour bridge?
Hello to you blog reading people. I had plans to take photos all week, of course it slipped my mind. Then it was Sunday night and I was without photos. So I went through my large collection and found some that I took in Chicago when I was in the USA. I LOVED Chicago – I was only there for a short time, but we did an architectural cruise and I just loved learning about the city from the water. I would do it again if I went back. So here are some photos I took on the cruise – hope you enjoy 🙂
Morpeth is a town near Maitland in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. It is known for its jazz festivals, quirky shops and gorgeous old buildings. It is situated near the Hunter River and I spent many days on the river at Morpeth with my family on our boat. It brings back great memories to go back there to visit. Today I went there and took a few photos to share. I hope you enjoy them and a big happy new year to everyone!

Normally Morpeth is bustling with people, but I went late in the day, so it was very quiet (quiet enough to stand in the middle of the road to take this photo)
This building (barn) is not technically IN Morpeth, but I still love it. I have driven past it about two million times (I am rounding up) and I have ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted to stop and take a photo but I never got around to it, until today.
I seem to find myself drawn to old, gorgeous houses in this area. They are so magnificent.. They do not build them like this any more, sadly.
Again with the old fashioned things you never see any more. A red phone box. It doesn’t seem to have a phone in it (I didn’t actually look that close inside). But it is just beautiful. (I feel I may live in the wrong era!)
I have spent some time in New York City and I love it. I love everything about it – the busy streets, the hustle and bustle, but mainly I love the buildings. I think perhaps I was an architect in another life. I just have a fascination about buildings. So my photos today are of the buildings I saw in New York City. You won’t see the typical ones you would expect to (Empire State, Chrysler, Flatiron buildings) these are just regular ones I saw on my journeys.
Please enjoy and be sure to visit my blog – http://www.sylimephotos.wordpress.com to see more of my photos (I need to update it).
